The Munir lab is located at 3186 in Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at third floor of the EPIC Building  at UNC Charlotte. We have access to a variety of shared resources for physicochemical and biological analyses in the Environmental Engineering lab. Our lab is fully equipped with equipment for microbiological experiments and molecular biology including, but not limited to:

  • Biological safety cabinets (class II type A2)
  • Ultra-low freezer (-80 degC and -20 degC) (eppendorf)
  • QiaCube automation system (Qiagen)
  • Quantitative PCR machine (Biorad)
  • Thermocycler (Biorad)
  • NanoDrop Spectrophotometer
  • Qubit 3.0 fluorometer
  • Shakers and incubators
  • Centrifuges
  • IDEXX Quanti-Tray sealer Plus
  • Epimotion (Eppendorf)

We also have access to various state-of-the-art chemical, microscopy, bioinformatics and other labs in entire campus.
