Optofluidic Sample Preconcentration
We showed a signal amplification method of both fluorescent and surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) by optofluidic preconcentration. This optofluidic method with surface plasmon-active nanostructure could generate a hot spot by photothermal effect, which induced thermophoretic accumulation of biomolecules, and consequently amplified fluorescent/SERS signal over 10 times within one minute.


Optofluidic Mechanics
We are currently designing other optofluidic components including plasmonic pump, valve for the versatile and convenient fluid manipulation by light.
