Welcome to Prof. Aixi Zhou’s Group web page! Prof. Zhou’s research focus areas are Fire Safety Science and Engineering and Engineering Materials and Mechanics. In the Fire Safety Science and Engineering area, Dr. Zhou and his team study the response of materials and structures in fire (and high temperature), fire protection of structures, and fire protection in the wildland-urban interface. Topics in the Engineering Materials and Mechanics area include the design, analysis, manufactuing, and application of engineered high-performance composite materials, and using analytical, experimental and computational mechanics tools to solve practical problems.
